In this travel bag packing + organizing compilation, I’m basically doing what I love most: breaking down what actually makes a bag functional when you’re on the go. First up is a super cute nursing/work backpack from BSmart, and I’m walking through how each pocket gets used—sticky notes, pins, Sharpies, dry erasers, plus a roomy section for a wash bag and personal items. I also love the little “secret” pockets for lip glosses and chapsticks, and the water-resistant fabric is a big win if you’re using it daily. Then I get into one of the coolest carry-on features I’ve seen: the Briggs & Riley carry-on with a built-in compression system. I test it without packing cubes by laying clothes directly in the suitcase, adding shoes and accessories at the bottom, and padding my makeup bag and jewelry organizer under clothing before tightening everything down. The compression result is basically the same as when I used compression packing cubes, which is amazing if you hate cubes or struggle with compression zippers. Finally, I’m testing the Open Story Signature Professional Tote from Target as part of my “perfect travel tote” series—packing my flight essentials, checking the pockets, laptop space, and overall quality, and sharing what I’d dock points for (like no water bottle holder and stitching).
