Prior to 2009, the only cameras capable of 1080p (Full HD) were either professional or high-end consumer camcorders like the Panasonic HDC-SD1 (2007) that retailed for $1500. In this video, I test out the first affordable consumer 1080p pocket camera on the market, the Kodak Zi8. This was a Christmas present from my father to my stepmother back in 2009. She recently gave it to me to use on ThriftyAV, as she no longer uses it. In this video, I check out the features of the cam, including multiple video resolutions, the still camera feature, and image stabilization. 00:00 Intro / Open 01:23 vs Flip MinoHD 02:18 Ins & Outs 04:38 Menu 07:47 Sample Footage 09:25 EIS Test 10:20 Media Info 11:02 Studio Footage 12:10 Observations 13:07 Conclusion Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXk859y-iwYfMpHqX1TcRiw/join
