Ikea Skådis Review: Better than a DIY Pegboard?

Skådis pegboard is a pegboard inspired storage system from Ikea. But how does it compare to a DIY pegboard system? And is it worth extra cost? Pros: The biggest advantage of using the Skådis system over a DIY pegboard is the convenience and the nice range of accessories. I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Skådis accessories, most are made of metal and not plastic and the quality feels sturdy. I think it is worth the cost Cons The range of well-fitting accessories will be smaller compared to a regular round shaped pegboard. Note that the board is only attached at the top with two little screws, this could definitely be an issue if you want to use the board for heavy stuff.
