Increase the needle tension when using heavy thread. 2. Use regular thread in the bobbin 3. Use a presser template to shape the back pockets 4. When topstitching over bulky layers use a height level tool (hump-jumper) 5. When sewing waistbands, stitch a folding line on the inside of the waistband and press along it to ensure an even and razor-sharp fold. 6.
