Visiting Fellow Research Roundtable: Security Trends in Southern Asia

The South Asia Program’s 2024 Visiting Fellows share their research and recommendations on emerging trends in Southern Asian security issues. At the conclusion of their year-long fellowship with the Stimson Center’s South Asia Program, 2024 Visiting Fellows Bashir Ali Abbas, Nikita Singla, Usama Nizamani, and Seema Khan will share their research findings and recommendations on a range of evolving trends in Southern Asian security issues. The discussion will highlight strategies for managing risks from naval nuclear competition in the Indian Ocean Region, the potential for U.S.-India cooperation in secure trade facilitation, the impact of emerging technologies on regional strategic stability, and the future prospects of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
