Create a fun play routine or download our Play Dough Smash Mat Grab markers (dobbers) here: https://amzn.to/3NpxPGx Tip 4: Use Minimal Pairs - if at all possible - with visuals to help your child learn to auditorily discriminate between the two sounds (help them recognize the difference between the two words!) Say each word and have your child identify which one you are saying (touch) then have them say each word and you show them which word they said! Download: FREE T and D Minimal Pairs Resource (for VOICING/DEVOICING): https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/FREE-T-and-D-Minimal-Pairs-Worksheet-for-VOICINGDEVOICING-6808349 FREE T and K Minimal Pairs Resource (for FRONTING / BACKING): https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/FREE-T-and-K-Minimal-Pairs-Speech-Handout-FrontingBacking-6805950 Tip 5: Do NOT overcorrect your child's speech errors during sound targets, productions or conversation because this could DECREASE your child's motivation and discourage them in future trials. Instead - pick ONE sound and one sound only to target during each word and stick with that sound only (it doesn't matter what the rest of the word sounds like, as long as the targeted sound is correct) Example: target sound Final /G/ (for a child would is FRONTING child: "Fwad" for "Flag" = incorrect trial. "Fwag" for Flag = CORRECT trial. (The L-blend doesn't matter because that's not that is being targeted!) -- Suggested NEXT video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQKhX2wC914 Suggested NEXT Playlist with ALL SPEECH SOUND Videos (for non-members): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ql2dSNhb0Y&list=PLNL4Ls5aZkt91WHMIfL2a9uaAhp62Mpsm -- DISCLAIMER: Links included in this description might be affiliate links.
