Race radios have long been used in road racing for team directors and riders to speak with one other mid-race. But in gravel? Not so much. At the 2026 Life Time Grand Prix opener at the Sea Otter Classic, Lauren Stephens used a Sena BiKom to talk with her husband Mat in the feed zone and to other riders in the race. As race radio clearly offers tactical benefit over not having digital communication, will Life Time make a rule around this technology? We shall see.
