Why KowTown Gravel is one of my favorite events

Way up in Grand County, Colorado, Blane Day and the Scholl family put on a high-altitude gravel race that climbs mountains, crosses the Colorado River, circumnavigates a reservoir and goes straight through the Scholl ranch.
