Corsair Responds...

In a previous video I talked about how Corsair RS120 ARGB fans might require more amps than a typical motherboard provides from a sys/cha fan header and how that could be an issue. See that video here - https://youtu.be/tNSeRUVCEvI I wanted to get Corsair's answer on whether this was an issue and what the solution might be if it was. I've now had an answer: "Most motherboard fan headers can typically provide around 1A, which from a general guideline perspective would be roughly three RS fans at full speed. However, fan header capabilities and long-term current limits can vary between motherboard models, so users are encouraged to check their motherboard specifications when connecting multiple fans to a single header." So basically, it's on you, the user, to check your motherboard specs and ensure you meet the spec requirements. The solution might be just to buy a Corsair Commander Duo or other fan controller and rely on power from your PSU instead.
