Sounds Unheard Of by Shelly Manne and Jack Marshall was a release from 1962 on the Contemporary label (Contemporary S9006) Sounds Unheard Of features Shelly Manne on Percussion and Jack Marshall on Guitar. Long considered an audiophile record, it was released by Analogue Productions long ago in their Revival Series. A sealed copy of this earlier pressing will set you back over $150.00! There is very good news for collectors in that Analogue Productions has released the record again, in a brand new mastering from the original master tape by Bernie Grundman, which is pressed at Quality Record Pressings, and is now housed in a deluxe heavy duty Stoughton gatefold jacket for the very nice price of $40.00.
