Sade Love Deluxe - Records To Die For 7

Sade Love Deluxe is the latest addition to the Records To Die For Series that I have been slowly curating for the channel. The last was Joni Mitchell's Hejira, and there are 5 others that you can check out on the Records To Die For Playlist. I knew a Sade album would end up here and I always felt this should be the one. All of the group's work is superb, but I think this one rises to the top. The writing and arrangements are superb as is the sound. It's an album that is romantic in feel, yet deals with many emotions, sometimes painful, joyful, optomistic and romantic. Love is here in all its forms. Its not jazz oriented like the first two albums, but instead is a distillation of what they moved to on Stronger Than Pride. Lush soundscapes and slower tempos. The entire catalog is being released finally, drawn from the excellent box set. I am listing them here, and can recommend all of them.
