Today I open the first box from the Weisfeld Collection — a remarkable group of records connected to longtime audiophile collectors, including material that passed through the hands of early high-end audio enthusiasts and writers from the classic era of audiophile listening culture. This first group focuses heavily on Mercury Living Presence and Argo classical LPs, many of them beautifully preserved examples that have clearly been carefully appreciated over decades of listening. More than just an unboxing, this video is the beginning of an ongoing archival and curation project that I’m honored to help steward alongside Harry Weisfeld. Over time, these records will be carefully evaluated, conservatively graded, properly sleeved, thoughtfully packaged, and eventually offered through a dedicated storefront platform currently in development.
