Elemental Music's Record Store Day releases for April 2024 An overview of five releases coming from the Elemental Music Group, including the Jazz Detective and Resonance Records imprint. All are previously unreleased recordings from some of the greatest jazz artists of the 20th century. Artists include Art Tatum, Chet Baker, Jack Sheldon, Sun Ra, Yusef Lateef, Mal Waldron and Steve Lacy. The material ranges from early historic club dates from 1953, to lost studio tapes from 1972, and unreleased live recordings from 1972-1995. All are well presented in very nice jackets with booklets and most are mastered by Matt Luthans.
