Birdbox Records may not be a name familiar to us in the United States. My hope is that this video will alert people to this very interesting label based in Italy. Not only a label, but a recording studio called Nightingale Studios are both under the guidance of Lorenzo Vella, who wanted to record music all analog using a mix of vintage and modern equipment. In this video I talk a bit about Lorenzo Vella, Birdbox Records, Nightingale Studios and of course the marvelous album under review, titled II by guitarists Unberto Fiorentino and Claudio Quartarone.
