Alessandro Bianchini on Birdbox Records | Stunning All-Analog Audiophile Jazz

Birdbox Records out of Italy has done it again. This time, I’m diving into the second release I’ve heard from vibraphonist and marimbist Alessandro Bianchini — and I have to say, I’m completely blown away. This record is a little more complex than My Space 24, but endlessly rewarding, both musically and sonically. Bianchini’s playing stretches across the full width of the stage, with clear separation between vibraphone and marimba, and a deep, powerful bass presence that grounds the performance beautifully. As with all Birdbox releases, this is 100% all-analog, mastered with passion by Lorenzo Vela. the label’s founder and mastering engineer. The pressing is extremely limited — only 300 copies worldwide — making it not only a sonic treasure, but also a collector’s piece. I’m a huge fan of both Birdbox Records and Alessandro Bianchini, and this release only deepens my admiration.
