Most AI coding tools can write code, but turning product ideas into production-ready UI inside a real codebase is still slow. In this video, I test Builder.io inside a real Next.js project using Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui to generate a new onboarding flow, review the React code, and ship it through a real PR workflow. If you build with React or Next.js and want to move faster from idea to production UI, this is worth checking out. builder.io, builder io, builder io ai, ai frontend engineer, react ui generation, nextjs ui generation, nextjs ai, react ai tools, ai coding tools, shadcn ui, tailwind css, nextjs tutorial, react tutorial, production ready ui, ai developer tools, frontend development, ui generation, ai code editor, github pull request, nextjs app builder #Builder #NextJS #ReactJS #AICoding #FrontendDevelopment #TailwindCSS #ShadcnUI #WebDevelopment #AITools #DeveloperTools Chapters: 00:00 The frontend bottleneck in modern development 00:30 What Builder.io actually does 01:00 Real Next.js project setup 01:46 What we’re building in this video 02:03 Connecting Builder.io to a real repo 03:26 Why Builder.io is different 03:50 Connecting GitHub step by step 04:54 Using Builder.io inside VS Code 05:35 Setting up the project in Builder.io 07:07 Prompting the onboarding feature 07:55 Previewing the generated UI 08:40 Testing the onboarding flow 08:53 Visual editing inside Builder.io 09:36 Reviewing the generated React code 10:03 Sending a PR automatically 10:28 How this changes the workflow 11:00 Final thoughts Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYEHmQ-b1iC02-LMeseQsvw/join ✉️ Send me an email: info@themetaversecompany.uk 👇 Don’t forget to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and SHARE! #openai #Ai #Chatgpt #AIProgramming #LLM #Ollama #LLAMA #WindsurfAI #CursorAI #BoltNew #AIDevelopment #AIShowdown #TheMetaverseGuy #SoftwareDevelopment #CodingTools #AIForDevelopers

About This Video

Most AI coding tools can spit out code, but the real bottleneck is still the same: turning design intent into production-ready UI inside a real React/Next.js codebase. In this video I test Builder.io as an “AI frontend engineer” that works directly against your existing repo, components, and styling system—so you’re not generating a prototype and then losing hours rewriting it to match your app. I start with a real Next.js project using Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui, push it to GitHub, and connect it to Builder.io. Then I prompt Builder to create a user onboarding flow (welcome message, feature highlights, quick setup steps, plus a progress indicator). The key part is consistency: Builder doesn’t invent a new design language—it uses my existing buttons, cards, and layout patterns, and I can visually tweak things in a Figma-style editor while still reviewing real React code. Finally, I show how it fits a real workflow: review the generated code, run the feature end-to-end, and ship it via an automatically created pull request with a detailed PR description. The big takeaway is the workflow shift—from “idea → prototype → rewrite” to “idea → production UI” inside the same pipeline.
