About This Video

Hey guys, it’s Shanthi (TheLeiaV) from sunny Singapore, and in this video I’m reviewing the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam palette—an oldie in my vanity that made a comeback when I finally had time to revisit the products collecting a little bit of dust. I’ve owned this palette for almost two years, and I wanted to break down whether it’s still worth your money, how it performs, and why so many makeup artists keep it in their kit. Spoiler: I’m warm-toned, medium complexion with golden undertones, and this palette is seriously brown-girl friendly. I talk through the shade selection, the repeats you’ll notice across ABH palettes (like Cypress Umber and Noir), and why those “staple” shades make this palette so versatile. I love that it takes me from day to night, and I even use Cypress Umber (and sometimes a mix with Noir) to fill in my brows or lightly camouflage sparse hairline areas. The mattes blend with ease, and the shimmers aren’t that obnoxious, chunky glitter vibe—more like packed pigment with a smooth sheen. Just remember to tap off your brush because these shadows deliver more pigment than you expect, and spritz with MAC Fix+ if you want extra drama. My final answer on whether you should get it? A confirmed yes.
