Worth It Wednesday: Did My Pantry Pay Me Back?

This week's Worth It Wednesday is about more than fruit salad. Over the past year, I've worked hard to save food whenever I could. Some of this fruit came from generous neighbors. Some was gleaned. Some was purchased on great sales. Some was picked right from the tree. Other fruit was rescued before it could go to waste and preserved for later. Today, all those little efforts come together in one colorful fruit salad made from canned fruit, frozen fruit, fresh fruit, and pantry staples. Instead of using canned pie filling, we're making our own glaze from the juice that came with the canned fruit, using every bit we can.
