✒️ In today’s video I’m reviewing the Majohn P141 fountain pen – and let’s just say it’s not the recommendation I hoped it would be. On paper, this pen has it all: a classic Montblanc-inspired design, a piston filling system, and a huge size 8 nib. But after a week of testing, it became clear… this is the pen Majohn should never have released. In this review I’ll show you exactly where the P141 goes wrong, from build quality to the nib and mechanism, and why it’s such a let-down compared to Majohn’s own P140, the Wingsung 630, or even the humble Lamy Safari. If you’re considering the P141, you need to watch this first. 🛒 Equipment Used: • Wingsung 630 - https://rebrand.ly/wingsung-630 • Majohn P140 - https://rebrand.ly/Majohn-P140 • Majohn P141 - https://rebrand.ly/Majohn-P141 • Rhodia dotBook - https://rebrand.ly/Rhodia-Pad 👉 Update: Since I bought my P141, Majohn have started selling it with the same Sun nib used in the P139 and P140. This definitely improves the writing experience, but for me it doesn’t fix the wobbly piston knob — and that’s why I’d still spend my money on the P140 instead. 💬 What’s the most disappointing fountain pen you’ve ever bought? About This Video

In this video I put the Majohn P141 through a full week of real-world testing, because on paper it looks like the ultimate “too good to be true” pen: a classic Montblanc-inspired silhouette, a piston filler, and a huge size 8 nib. And honestly, I wanted it to be great. The idea is incredibly tempting, especially if you like big pens and you’ve had good experiences with Majohn’s other releases. But the P141 turns into what I call a cascade of failures. I break down where it goes wrong—starting with build quality and the piston mechanism (the wobbly piston knob is the dealbreaker for me), then moving into the nib, which felt lifeless in my testing. I also talk about the big question: why this pen even exists when Majohn already has stronger options in their own lineup. By the end, I compare it to better buys like the Majohn P140 and the Wingsung 630, and I’ll be blunt: even something as simple as a Lamy Safari makes more sense than gambling on the P141. There is an update about newer units shipping with the Sun nib, but for me that still doesn’t fix the core problem—so my money stays with the P140.
