I also connect that ideal sound signature to how I form my Honest Target Curve and how I use it when evaluating gear. I walk through examples using reference tracks—how I listen for bass, mids, treble, and then the spatial stuff like width, depth, and layering. I explain what my target curve is, what it’s not, and why it matters for my review process: it’s a consistent baseline that helps me translate what I’m hearing into repeatable impressions.
