In this video I share my honest impressions of the NF Acous NM25 — a $200 single dynamic driver IEM that’s clearly aimed at studio monitoring, but still has a lot to say for regular audiophile listening. I run it through my full reference chain and also plug it into a Mackie 2404VLZ4 sound board, because I wanted to know if it holds up in a real-world “work” context and not just in the comfy chair with a DAC/amp. I cover the basics too: build, comfort, isolation, and what you should expect out of the stock cable and tips. From there I get into the sound: bass, midrange, treble, and the technical side — especially detail retrieval, because that’s one of the big reasons you’d even look at something like the NM25. I also talk source pairing and why you may need to tip, cable, and source roll to really land on the best version of this set. Finally, I compare it against the Tanchjim Origin, Moondrop Kadenz, and NF Acous NM2+ to help you figure out where the NM25 fits if you like neutral-bright tuning, vocal clarity, and a more monitoring-leaning presentation.
