How To Gain Clarity In Your Mind On The Root Problem

A simple tool I teach my mentorship therapists is to list out all the previous injuries in chronological order. This allows us to organise all the information and connect the dots. Louis Gifford talks about patients having 2 types of responses to pain, adaptive and maladaptive. The previous injuries very often can leave maladaptive responses upon maladaptive responses and then contributes towards the current pain experience from my experience. Now instead of being fixated on a diagnosis we have a 'shopping basket' of things as Gifford terms it to work on. This is a subtle shift in focus yet very empowering for a therapist even if you are not 100% sure of an actual diagnosis just yet in the first session. If you'd like some help putting together a structured step by step system into your clinical approach so you can have the confidence to keep any complex patient progressing just DM me the word 'Mentor' and I'll send you through all the information.
