Scott I rode her through the misty glen, We leave behind us why and when. She leads me into meadows green, Her mane an iridescent sheen. Not sure how I came to this place, I was looking for an embrace. I felt in my side was a thorn, And that is when I saw her horn. She represented things unseen, For all of that I was so keen. Tired of the stress and tension, I then sought the 4th dimension. I knew I blocked it for so long, A miracle I heard its song. And that is when she did appear, Showing me what was always near. Now I see her, and she sees me, And I no longer strain to be, The one who wears a cloak and crown, For I’ve torn those obstructions down. We ride together daily now, Though most don’t see her there somehow, Still stuck in mire, they’re not free, Not like my unicorn and me. The Unicorn is an original poem by Jennifer L.
