Having previously been in charge at non-league side Salisbury City, then Bristol Rovers – where he engineered consecutive promotions from the Conference Premier into League One – and Walsall, Clarke has, at a young age, already racked up more than 500 games as manager. In an introduction to the coaching course he delivers for CV Academy (filmed in March 2021), he talks about his first steps into coaching before going on to describe the qualities he sees in the best managers and his own man-management style.
