There are plenty of pockets for organizing all your gear, too. What I like most about this pack is how well it contours to fit your back and the excellent ventilation the "Anti-Gravity" back panel provides. In addition, the Atmos AG includes a convenient built-in rain cover for hiking in foul weather, which is awesome especially if you're prone to leaving gear behind. On the flip side, this backpack weighs in at just over 4.5lbs, making it a bit heavy for its size. ---- 👉 #2: Best Hiking Backpack with Adjustable Fit: Deuter Aircontact Lite 65 + 10 https://alnk.to/8iMOTuk The Deuter Aircontact Lite sports a torso with a wide range of fit options and ergonomic foam hip fins that can be custom fit to individual wearers. What I like most about this pack is its versatility and how it doubles as a daypack. The extendable 10-liter pack collar can be used either to expand your gear capacity to 75 liters or entirely removed for short excursions. The pack’s primary downside is that it lacks a ton of organizational pockets and the bells and whistles of some fancier models. ---- 👉 #3: Best Budget Backpacking Pack: REI Co-op Trailbreak 60 https://alnk.to/58jbeOo REI crafted the Trailbreak 60 with the essentials in mind - no fancy extras here. This pack features padded back and shoulder straps and a steel internal support frame designed for comfortably supporting loads up to 35 pounds. What I like most about the Trailbreak other than its price point is the zippered sleeping bag compartment access and roomy top lid. In addition, the bluesign approved materials provide for environmentally-conscious peace of mind. What I don't care for is that this pack is only offered in one size. Although there is a women's version and the torso is adjustable, it doesn't offer the same fit quality as others in its class. ---- 👉 #4: Best Ultralight Backpack: Hyperlite Mountain Gear 3400 Southwest https://alnk.to/goTG125 The Maine-based cottage company created the Hyperlite 3400 Southwest from its signature Dyneema material - a naturally waterproof and extremely tough, lightweight fabric. What I like most about the 3400 Southwest is the V-shaped compression strap that fastens down onto the roll-top lid, effectively keeping your gear in place even across the most rugged terrain. It’s remarkably lightweight for its 55 liter gear carrying capacity, tipping the scales at just over two pounds, depending on the size you choose. The Hyperlite 3400 Southwest is minimal by design but I really don’t like that it lacks a hydration bladder, as then you’re forced to carry your water outside the pack, making it susceptible to holes from encounters with low-hanging branches. It’s also relatively pricey at $350. ---- 👉 #5: Best Hiking Backpack to Carry Heavy Loads: Gregory Baltoro 75 https://alnk.to/6bNJ7IT Overbuilt for most backpacking trips, the 5-pound Baltoro 75 includes all the cushioning and support needed for heavy-hauling comfort. Its full-length metal frame supports weight with ease and the removable lumbar pad makes for a nice extra customization option. What I like most about this pack is the number of features — most notably, the amount of organizational pockets and nifty gear storage compartments. What I don't care for is that this pack is heavy and lacks versatility mainly in how it wouldn’t be suitable for light and fast trips.
