Traveling to Hong Kong as Guests of Selene Yachts | EP64

China?! That definitely was not on our bingo card. Just one year ago, we never would have believed we’d be traveling to China via Hong Kong to visit a world-class yacht shipyard — but here we are. This unexpected journey took us far outside our comfort zone and straight into an entirely new culture. This week’s adventure brought culture shock, incredible hospitality, and the joy of experiencing new places, new people, and new perspectives. The purpose of the trip was to visit the newly expanded Selene Yachts factory, tour their latest facilities, and get a firsthand look at the new Selene Ocean Explorer models — a more modern and contemporary evolution of the Selene lineup. Beyond the shipyard, this trip gave us the rare opportunity to step away from boat projects, slow down, and truly enjoy the experience of traveling somewhere completely unfamiliar. Meeting so many amazing people and learning about a culture we had never experienced before was unforgettable.
