After over 4,000 nautical miles and nearly 700 hours underway in just 4 months, we’ve made it almost halfway across the Pacific Ocean—a huge milestone in our journey from Australia toward North America. Our Selene Yachts Classic Trawler has carried us safely across multiple blue water passages, but after all that continuous running, it’s time to give her the attention she deserves. In this episode, we head deep into the engine room with a full list of jobs and start working through real-world boat maintenance in the middle of the Pacific. From replacing pumps and fixing an oil leak, to troubleshooting our watermaker, changing oil, replacing anodes, and handling the never-ending list of onboard systems—this is what it actually takes to keep a boat running offshore.
