Our Maine cruising adventures come to an end in this week’s episode aboard our Nordhavn N41 trawler. After exploring beautiful towns like Belfast, Camden, Bar Harbor, Rockland, Boothbay, and Portland, Maine, it’s time to turn south and begin the next leg of our journey. We depart Portland, ME from DiMillo’s Marina, stop in one of the most stunning anchorages we’ve visited yet, and then make our way to Provincetown, Massachusetts (P-Town) — a vibrant and expressive town full of charm and diversity. From there, we continue toward the Cape Cod Canal, where things don’t exactly go as planned. After a weather delay, we enter the canal at midnight with an opposing current. Exhausted, we tie up to rest — but the Cape Cod Canal authority tells us we can’t stay and must move on immediately.
