Yellow Jacket Box

I found a yellow jackets nest accessible to my 2 year old so I had to dig it out. While the nest was in a jar for viewing over the course of a few hours more wasps hatched. My best friend happens to bee a bee expert and let me know that the antennae is how you can tell if they are male or female wasps. The male ones cant sting. I did my best to identify the wasps and determined the fastest way to identify such things was just sticking my hand in the jar, if they sting, well they are female.
