Steam

Steam was the first thing I installed once Linux Mint was up, and it ran beautifully fine on this little laptop. On Windows this machine struggled badly, but on Linux I could actually enjoy older titles like Half-Life properly. Just keep an eye on storage, because big games will eat 64GB alive.

Buy on Steampowered

You'll be taken to Steampowered to complete your purchase.

Pros

  • +Easy to install via Linux Mint’s Software Manager
  • +Runs smoothly on Linux Mint on low-end hardware
  • +Great for older PC classics that don’t need much GPU power

Cons

  • -Game installs can quickly fill limited storage (e.g., Half-Life 2 is ~10GB)
  • -Newer games will still be limited by the Celeron/iGPU

What TechLabUK says

The first thing you will need to do is, of course, install Steam
type into the top box steam and we will instantly find steam in the corner here
But we'll close that now and we'll just pop over to Steam
Steam runs beautifully fine on this system
Now, of course, installing Steam and some games will take up a lot of the storage on the device, and you don't have a lot to play with, so you have to be careful
