I tested Opera GX from a fresh install with no prep, just to see if the hype is real. It has a lot of “gaming” features like themes, sounds, sidebar integrations, and GX Control, but in my RAM test Chrome still used less memory and the data collection prompts were a bit much.

Pros

+GX Control lets you limit RAM, CPU, and network usage
+Built-in ad blocker and optional tracker blocking
+Deep customization: themes, browser sounds, keyboard sounds, background music
+Sidebar integrations like Discord and Twitch

Cons

-Used more RAM than Chrome in my 15-tab test
-Setup and settings include a lot of data collection/personalization toggles
-UI felt cluttered to me on first glance
