About This Video

Amazon has quietly started blocking even more Firestick apps, and the scary part is most people won’t even realise it’s happening. In this update I show what I’m seeing right now on multiple Fire Sticks and Fire TV devices: apps that used to open fine are now being silently disabled in the background. In some cases there’s no warning triangle anymore — you just open the app and instantly get told it’s completely disabled, with the only option being to uninstall. The key takeaway is this: it doesn’t look like Amazon are blocking apps purely by name or package name — it looks like they’re targeting specific app versions. That’s why reinstalling the exact same version doesn’t fix anything. What I tested (and what worked) was installing a different/older version of the same app, and in certain cases that version isn’t blacklisted yet, so the app runs normally again. Just remember, this is a cat-and-mouse game and versions can get blocked over time, so you may need alternatives. Finally, I strongly recommend using a VPN for streaming — not only for privacy, but also because some blocks can happen at network level, meaning results can vary by region and ISP. I personally use IPVanish on all my devices because it supports unlimited connections and helps prevent ISP tracking and throttling.
