I’ve been using the Joby 3K Pro for years, and it’s been my go-to “dad travel tripod” for everything from my Sony a7 mirrorless setup to iPhones and action cams. But when you’re traveling with kids, you start caring a lot about small stuff: how fast it deploys, how compact it packs, and whether it’s actually stable when you set it down on a table, a bench, or whatever random surface you find.
