The JBL Go 4 is still that safe, proven pick if you love the classic JBL tuning and you’re already in their ecosystem. In my testing it sounded great up close with that punchy JBL-style bass, but it doesn’t match the PocketGo on battery life or extra features.
Pros
+Classic JBL Pro sound with punchy bass for the size
+IP67 waterproof rating
+Lightweight and super portable (about 190g)
+Companion app support
+Auracast multi-speaker support
Cons
-Up to 7 hours battery life (rated), far less than PocketGo
-Older Bluetooth 5.3 vs Bluetooth 6.0 on PocketGo
-No built-in microphone for voice calls (as tested)
-Can get a bit harsh when pushed at higher volume from farther away
