In my last video I covered the basics of Perplexity Computer—this time I go deeper and show you the advanced features that actually changed how I work. Perplexity Computer isn’t a chatbot that just gives you text. It’s an AI digital worker that can take actions in your real apps, and in this walkthrough I demo six big upgrades: connectors (400+ apps like Gmail, Calendar, Slack, Notion), custom skills you can “program” with plain English, and real data analysis that runs actual code (so it’s computing, not guessing). I show how connectors eliminate the repetitive app switching we all do—like searching Gmail, summarizing a newsletter, and drafting an unsubscribe email (and it always asks for confirmation before sending). Then I build a reusable “YouTube Script Helper” skill that researches a topic, creates titles, timestamps, and a full script outline automatically. From there, I upload a messy CSV and have Computer clean duplicates, standardize names and dates, analyze ratings, generate a PDF report, and even publish an interactive dashboard you can share with a link. The part that made my jaw drop is document review and fact-checking with track changes, plus “multi-chain” prompts where one prompt creates multiple deliverables (brief, comparison table, dashboard, slide deck). I finish by setting up scheduled tasks that run every day—like an 8am AI news briefing—plus my pro tips for getting better results.
