In this quick #finehair tip video, I’m showing you exactly where NOT to place your hair extensions—because placement is everything when you’re trying to keep your install comfy, hidden, and actually wearable in real life. If you’ve ever felt like your extensions were pulling, peeking through, or just sitting weird, it’s usually not the hair… it’s where you put the wefts. My biggest rule (and the one I always follow) is the 2–3 finger rule. I keep my extensions far enough away from my hairline and parting so they don’t show when I move my hair around, and I avoid placing them too high where they’ll be obvious or too low where they can feel tight and uncomfortable. This is especially important for fine/thin hair because you don’t have a lot of density to “cover” a bad placement.
