This Vox Treble Booster was the whole test: can an analogue treble booster push a digital amp pedal and still feel right? Into the Lion, I found it didn’t just add bite—it weirdly fattens things out, makes it bigger, and gives you more gain, especially with P90s (which sounded killer to me).
Pros
- +Pushes the front end nicely for more gain and size
- +Works especially well with P90s in my setup
- +Great for adding that classic boosted-amp feel
Cons
- -Can feel a bit more blown out into higher gain settings
- -Fat switch + boost can be too much depending on pickups
