I discuss the big 5 reasons people blame the LinkedIn algorithms for their failure to create value using LinkedIn as a Business Tool. Get focused. Use all of the relevant sections of your LinkedIn Profile to tell your story relevant to what you do or want to do. Don't tell everything, only what is relevant and/or showing professional growth to who you are or who you want to become. Get Focused Connect with people you know. Ask for introductions to the people you want to connect with. Invest time to engage with the right people you connect with. Show your LinkedIn Network that you care for them by being willing to help them. Get Focused. Engage on relevant content. Get into real conversations by using at least 10 words in each comment or reply. Don't try to pitch or sell on LinkedIn. Be willing to give away your expertise through LinkedIn Engagement. #PSA (Pay Serious Attention) Stay aware of those who are important to you and what is happening in their lives, businesses, and careers. Did an important contact get a new job? Did an important company make a shift or hire a new employee? Has a new important contact shown up on LinkedIn? Social Listening is vital LinkedIn is not a dumping ground for your company content. Your target audience does not want you to throw up on them with your content. No one cares until they discover you care about them. Be the real you, not just an 'agent' of your company when sharing & engaging. Don't make every conversation happen on LinkedIn.
