Chick-fil-A workers fired after a viral dance has sparked debate about workplace rules, social media, and whether employees were unfairly targeted after going viral. Eight Chick-fil-A employees at Tuskegee University in Alabama — most of them college students — were let go after a 25-second video of them recreating a viral chest bounce trend went massively viral, racking up over 8 million views on social media. Sophomore Landin Rolle, who came up with the idea, says jealous students reported the video to university leadership — and believes it was Tuskegee University administration, not Chick-fil-A corporate, that ultimately pulled the trigger on the firings. Sophomore Denevea Simpkins says her three-second appearance in the video is already costing her campus leadership opportunities.
