Graeme went to a military show put on to illustrate some of the equipment used in World War 1 with the use of horses for work hauling guns and ammo,plus as mounted attacks on the enemy trenches. First he gets an interview with an officer who explains the efficiency of one of the most effective machine guns of its era, the Vickers….Then he is off into Mike’s woodland for a bit of “plinking” with tin cans to find out which has the greater hitting power, his old spring .22 or Mike’s PCP .177…..It’s all good outdoors Father and Son stuff ,and check out the WW2 DUCK amphibious vehicle at the start. Its an unusual piece of equipment that was of primary importance for the royal Logistic Corps….Enjoy.
