In this chemistry project video, I show you how I make a simple 3D still model to explain a chemical reaction in a clear school-project style. I build the setup using very easy materials like a plastic container, blue color water, a roll cardboard tube, plastic straw, color paper, Fevicol, and a hot glue gun—so you can make it at home without any complicated tools. My main focus is to keep the model neat, understandable, and visually attractive for school exhibitions. In the explanation part, I cover the reaction of white phosphorus (P4) with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution, where phosphine gas (PH3) and sodium hypophosphite (NaH2PO2) are formed. I include the balanced equation: P4 + 3NaOH + 3H2O → PH3 + 3NaH2PO2, and I mention that it happens slowly in cold, concentrated NaOH. I also explain an important safety concept: the reaction is done in an inert CO2 atmosphere to prevent phosphine from igniting, because PH3 is colorless and highly flammable. This model is perfect if you want a clean chemistry reaction display idea for exams, fairs, or class demonstration.
