I reviewed the best zero waste sunscreens so you don't have to. These low waste sunscreens are reef safe and reef friendly and only contain non-nano zinc oxide. Did you know "reef safe" and "reef friendly" are not regulated? Look for non-nano zinc oxide sunscreens! I prefer plastic free sunscreens, but 2 of these were recycled plastic or plastic made from sugarcane. It's summer and we all need to lather up! We want to prevent coral bleaching! And we can do that by wearing reef safe sunscreens when we go to the beach! Sustainable living can be overwhelming. But, switching to a zero waste or plastic free reef safe sunscreen doesn't have to be! I tried tinted zero waste sunscreens as well! These tinted sunscreens are great when you have darker skin than me! I tried a tinted zero waste sunscreen in a metal tin and another in a compostable paper tube!
