Here are some zero waste confessions...I STILL BUY PLASTIC! I live a zero waste lifestyle and I still buy plastic?! YES. This is my realistic non-aesthetic zero waste life, which still involves plastic. Here is my biggest tip for zero waste beginners: you can still buy plastic. A sustainable lifestyle is not about being completely plastic-free. Sustainability is about reducing your single-use plastic consumption as much as you can. And reuse, reuse, reuse! A BIG myth about a zero waste life is that you have to be plastic free. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE PLASTIC FREE. There are some zero waste swaps that just won't work for everyone. There are some items I cannot purchase without plastic packaging. It's a-okay to buy plastic. Zero waste living is about doing your best. I sure as heck am not perfect with this lifestyle and you don't have to be. (Also, I made a similar YT video back in 2018... I recently watched it. Let's just say I've improved on my video making skills since then haha 🙃).
