Elevated Bed Presence Sensor

I went with the Elevated Sensors bed presence sensor because I wanted something standalone and proven instead of a DIY ESP32 + FSR build. It’s been very reliable for left/right bed occupancy, and it was simple to install and get into Home Assistant.

Pros

+Very reliable bed occupancy detection

+Simple physical install with adhesive strips

Cons

-Costs more than a DIY force sensor + ESP32 approach
-Hardest part might be wrestling the mattress solo
