Gender Affirming Voice Services

Voice and communication are a significant component of one’s ability to express their identity in a way that is congruent with their gender. Stony Brook’s otolaryngology and speech-language pathology departments have combined to establish Long Island’s first gender-affirming interdisciplinary voice clinic where we specialize in voice modification surgery, gender-affirming voice training, and speaking and singing voice therapy for our TGNB community. Together, our team of voice-specializing providers work in tandem to meet the communication goals of the rich gender diversity within our community.
