Surfing In Byron Bay At Wategos Beach 🏄‍♂️ (Byron Bay Surf Festival) | Stoked For Travel

When it comes to surfing in Byron Bay, Wategos Beach is one of my personal favourites, especially for longboarding. And here are some of the best longboard surfers from around Australia clocking up some serious nose time at the Wategos Wizards at this years Byron Bay Surf Festival. Taking place at Wategos Beach in Byron Bay, the Wategos Wizards comp invites a whole host of incredible longboarders to the most Easterly point of Australia for a weekend of waves, music and other epic events. The longboard surfing competition at Wategos Beach served up some incredible peelers, with Matt Cuddihy taking the mens event in a tightly fought final (winning by 0.17!) and the ladies Mermaid event being won by Bea Conroy.
