Want to know what the Surf Lakes wavepool is like to actually surf? Well I headed up to the Yeppoon wavepool for a few days of waves to see if it's going to be worth the wait and become Australias best wavepool! Surf Lakes is arguably the most anticipated Australia wavepool on the horizon - with their iconic plunger technology promising to deliver pumping waves for all levels of surfer. So when I got a call inviting me up to their Yeppoon R&D facility for a few days of waves with Occy and the crew, I quickly roped in a friend, loaded up the boards and drove 9 hours up into Queenland!
