Surf Lakes Australia Wave Pool Test Day 🏄‍♂️ (Yeppoon Wave Pool) | Stoked For Travel

Want a sneaky peak at the Surf Lakes Australia Wave Pool? I headed up the coast to Yeppoon on their latest test day to see if the Surf Lakes technology lives up to the hype and to join Occy for some waves! When you get an invite to paddle out at an unopened Australia wave pool you make it happen. So after a 9 hour drive up the coast up to Yeppoon in Central I was frothing when I got my first look at the iconic plunger that powers the Surf Lakes Wave Pool. The next 2 days were every surfers dream - waves on tap, the chance to surf with the legend that is former world champion Occy and plenty of draining barrels to film and photograph! Whilst the waves weren't pumping at full capacity they were heaps of fun - with Occys Right breaking around shoulder high. The full capacity of the Surf Lakes technology is 6 stroke, during the test day I was filming they were running at 2.8 stroke - so less than 50% of the potential wave size, so you can imagine just how fun these waves are going to be with that extra capacity behind them!
