In this February sewing catch up, I’m chatting you through what I’m hoping to get on the machine this month—aka my realistic(ish) project list and the patterns I’m most excited to play with. I’m in that lovely planning headspace where I want a few solid wardrobe workhorses, but I also want at least one make that feels a bit fun and new. I share the patterns I’m considering, why they’ve made the shortlist, and the kinds of garments I’m aiming to add to my rotation. I’m looking at trousers, tops and a jacket option, with a mix of tried-and-true shapes and a couple of patterns that feel like they’ll need a bit of thoughtful sewing (and probably a tweak or two, let’s be honest).
