I’m using the OM System OM-1 Mark II with the 90mm macro lens, leaning heavily on the incredible image stabilisation to shoot handheld at shutter speeds as slow as 1/6 sec. You’ll see my full process in the forest, from finding a good mushroom to placing the SmallRig RM03 lights, balancing ambient light with LEDs, and using focus stacking to get maximum sharpness without a tripod. I’ll walk you through camera settings, angles, and simple lighting tricks you can copy on your next fungi walk.
